One app that tracks training and nutrition
Visin is a free app for iPhone and Android that keeps workouts and nutrition in the same account: strength training, HIIT and intervals, GPS running and cycling, plus calories and macros from a photo, a barcode or a search. Because both live in one app, the weekly report can put training, food, weight and sleep side by side — which is impossible when the data sits in two separate apps.
Why two separate apps are the problem
The usual setup is a workout logger plus a calorie counter plus a running app. Three apps means three logins, three sets of goals, three sets of reminders — and nowhere that answers the obvious question of whether the scale stalled because the hard training weeks were underfed.
The effort is one of the most common reasons people quit: feeding three apps three times a day stops after a few weeks. Visin is built so that one entry in one place is enough and everything else follows from it.
What Visin does on the training side
- Strength training: sets, reps and weight are logged as you lift, with a rest timer and automatically detected personal records. Ready-made routines and plans, or your own.
- HIIT and intervals: guided blocks with an exercise library, a timeline and cues — the app counts, you do not.
- Running and cycling: GPS recording with route, kilometre splits, elevation gain, pace and auto-pause.
- History: every exercise carries its own history, so next time you can see what you last managed without looking it up.
What Visin does on the nutrition side
- Photo: take a picture of the plate and the app recognises the dish and estimates calories and macros. The estimate is labelled as an estimate and can be corrected in one step.
- Barcode: scan anything with a label.
- Search and recipes: create or import your own recipes; the app calculates the nutrition per serving.
- Goals: calorie and macro targets that match the goal you set — lose weight, maintain, build muscle.
Where the two sides meet
Once a week Visin sums up what actually happened: workouts completed, training volume, average calorie and macro intake, weight trend, sleep and steps. The report is not a wall of numbers — it ends with exactly one thing worth changing next week, for example an adjusted calorie target when the weight trend has not matched the goal for several weeks.
What you need to sign up for
Shared recipes and workouts can be viewed without an account. To save your own progress you create a free account — by email, Google or Apple. Your data syncs across your devices and can be deleted together with the account from inside the app at any time.

Frequently asked questions
Can I track food and workouts in the same app with Visin?
Yes. Strength training, HIIT, running and cycling as well as calories and macros live in one account, and the weekly report analyses both together.
Do I have to track everything?
No. You can log only training, only nutrition or only your weight. Nothing in the app requires one area to be filled in for another to work.
Does the app cost anything?
Every core feature — training, nutrition, progress and sharing — is free, with no subscription, no ads and no hidden costs.
Can I bring data over from another app?
Visin optionally reads weight, sleep and steps from Apple Health or Google Health Connect, which is how data from other apps comes across. Workouts and nutrition are written back to them.
